The Dynamic Duo

dcdmOne month. In Gotham City, one month without a Batman is far too long. Last time, the GCPD didn't even wait this long to get Jim Gordon in that ridiculous bunny suit.
(Thank god that Lucius Fox was around this time to enforce Wayne Enterprises' copyright on the Batman likeness. There's at least one good thing that came out of the whole "Batman Incorporated" boondoggle a few years back, at least.)
The last time you saw Bruce Wayne, nothing seemed too out of the ordinary. He was gearing up for just another of far too many missions he felt that he couldn't even trust telling *you* about. You, who have been his partner for so long. His son.
But now, oldest and youngest sit together in the Batcave. The first adopted, and the first born. Neither of you dares to speak what you're both thinking: you were Batman and Robin once before. Why not do it again? You can think of a thousand reasons why not. Instead of voicing them, you monitor Batman's most recently opened cases and play tug-of-war with Titus, respectively.
You're interrupted by the familiar polite cough of Alfred Pennyworth.
"Masters," he says, "I'm afraid there's a matter which may require your attention."
